MIA

Sorry I've been missing in action I'm still recovering from being sick, plus we had a few personal family things going on that I needed to deal with. Anywho I made this card super fast I'm amazed it only took me 15 min. and that's pretty good considering half my stuff was buried under a mountain of paper, and I had no idea what kind of card I was going to make. For this card I used colorbok embellishment punch-out pack Bright paper the stamp set I used is one of the $1 studio g stamp sets at Micheal's I colored in the stamp with my colored pencils and used stardust stickels, the ribbon is ctmh cranberry.

On a side note two Hanna stamp sets were released tonight, so exciting love the route 66 one you can check them out here.

feel'n better

I am finally starting to feel better but my daughter is still sick I feel so bad for her. It just makes my heart ache when my children hurt and it's her birthday so we had to cancel her birthday party I don't think she even realizes it though so we'll have to do something special for her when she's better.

Now on to the card I made this simple card after the one in the Su spring- summer 2008 catalog page 120 I changed the colors and stamps. I used playful flourishes and from me to you(ctmh) ink chocolate, cs baby pink and cocoa(ctmh) ribbon (offray). I used my corner rounder for the scallopes . It was really simple but I really like the way it turned out.

How Sweet

I have been sick, so I haven't done much of anything this week, but I did make another Riley card. I used riley in his chair or her chair because this moose is a girl today.I colored it in with gamsol and my colored pencils I used ctmh cs chocolate, blush, sweet leaf colonial white. The patterned paper is from ctmh life delights level 2 paper packet. The cupcake stamp is a sweet 'n sassy stamp set called chocoholics I added a gem to each one. Twill ribbon is ctmh, ink is also ctmh chocolate. The sentiment stamp is how sweet it is from my favorite things I can't find it on their web site so I think it's retired but I'm not really sure. I know it's late but Happy Valentine's Day.

two for riley

I have two cards for today because this week is going to be busy for me and I probably won't get to post much. You see my house is a mess and my daughter b-day is Mon. so I need time to clean yah it's so bad, I need a week to clean. Anyway the first card was for my nephew's birthday he turned 4 yesterday so this first card was for him. I used Riley in the plane I can't remember what the actual name is he's out of stock at the moment so I couldn't look it up paper is colorbok jewel, ribbon is ctmh garden green. the riley stamps can be bought mounted or unmounted, I bought the unmounted because they are less $ and don't take up as much space. The saying in the banner is from things hanna would say.

I made this second card because I wanted a card with spring colors I used garden riley moose from hanna stamps so cute the flower is a prima flower ribbon is offray and the rest is ctmh cs colors are amethyst sweet leaf the pattern paper is one sheet of the pattern paper in sweet pea paper packet level 2, the button is hollyhock. so thats all for now hope to post again this week.

Birthday Invitation

My daughters birthday is coming up soon and I decided I was going to make her birthday invitations instead of calling the family two nights before like I usually do. I had planed to make something with a ballerina for her but, no she wants a slipper birthday(that's what she calls dress shoes) so I decided to add a wand, and crown to her invites to make them a little more girlie when I showed it to her hoping she'd like them her reaction was " hmmmm well I like the slippers." She is so funny.

heres the recipe
cs ctmh petal, baby pink, buttercup, white
ink ctmh black, baby pink for sponging around the squares
stamps used- shoes hanna stamps, wand ctmh fairy wishes, crown ctmh teen princess
swirls embossing folder, and SU word window punch.
I used my corner rounder for the scallopes
I colored the images in with my colored pencils and used stickles and my stardust sakura gel pen to make them sparkle.

It's been awhile

Sorry I haven't been posting lately I had a pretty busy weekend and I didn't have time to stamp. Here's a card I did up real fast just using up some scraps. I used dcwv dp and ctmh cs colors are blush, crystal blue, and white. The stamp set I used is ctmh called celebrate life and the ink is ctmh chocolate. I colored the butterfly in with my water brush and blush ink. I used my Marvy punch for the scalloped circle.

I have exciting news for me anyways my pirate card was picked in the January contest so I was able to pick a free stamp set from sweet 'n sassy stamps how cool is that yay for me. Korin from sweet 'n sassy stamps is having another contest for Feb. it's a sketch challenge with lots of layers you should check it out here.
