Season's Greetings! and a Blog Hop

It's my turn to join in on the fun for the Sweet 'n Sassy stamps blog hop I chose to showcase a sneak peak of Christmas Poinsettias designed by Chris Dickinson. I stamped the poinsettia and adhered red glitter for the background paper for the poinsettia wreath I colored it in with my copic makers and added red rhinestones to the centers and I finished my card with black satin ribbon. Please continue the blog hop to Korin's blog then on to the Sweet'n Sassy stamps blog. Thanks for visiting hope you have a super day.

* I adhered my glitter with sticky powder I purchased over 5 years ago. I purchased it at a stamping expo at a booth called Lindy's Stamp Gang I found her web site but I could only find the sticky powder in a starter kit here. It's kind of like an embossing power that you heat up and it makes it sticky. I would have liked to use a glue pad but I didn't have one but I plan on getting one soon.

What I used
stamps-christmas pionsettia(snss)
ink-black graphite(brilliance)
dp-(autumn leaves)
cs-cranberry, black, clonial white(CTMH)
supplies-black ribbon(offray), red glitter(unknown), red rhinestones(CTMH), copic markers

Happy Hoo-lidays!

I have a sneak peak of one of the sets that will be released Oct. 1 at Sweet 'n Sassy stamps, this set is called Owl Christmas Accessories. I used the owl from Owl Celebrations and used two of the accessories in the new set for my card. This card also has a lot of texture to it the Santa hat has white fun flock for the fur. The candy cane has glossy accents on it so it looks like a real candy cane. I added rhinestones on a few of the dots in the patterned paper, and the last thing I did was add a peppermint striped button and I wrapped it in cellophane so it looks like a real peppermint candy.I stamped Happy Hoo-lidays! on the inside( another stamp from this set). I thought it turned out super cute what do you think ? Thanks for visiting.

This month I choose to use My little chickadee to showcase this month for the design team round up for Sweet 'n Sassy stamps. For my card I stamped the chickadee with black graphite brilliance ink pad, and colored it in with my copic markers. I sponged a bit of chocolate ctmh ink around the main image. I just had to add some mini paper flowers to the limb with a tiny dot of tulip fabric paint to look like pearl centers. I then used basic grey's sugared designer paper, Korin sells this in 12x12 size. I then added four pewter brads from ctmh and my sheer ribbon was purchased at a local dollar store. Please visit the snss blog to see what the rest of the design team made.

If you missed the Sweet 'n sassy release party on the new forum you should still check out the three challenges with prizes. You have until Sept. 7th to make and upload your card. Here's my card for the technique challenge. The challenge is to use the grid technique. I used the little lamb from Hugs for Janessa set for my card. This set was made in honor of Janessa. She was born with Down Syndrome and later diagnosed with leukemia. She is currently going through chemo treatments and it has put great strain on her family and their finances, so $5 from each set sold will be donated to Janessa's family. When her cancer is in remission, the fund will go to another family suffering through the same thing.
