Warm Hugs & Cocoa Wishes

I so love sketch challenges it's helping me get my mojo back, yay! Today's card is made using Sweet n' Sassy Stamps challenge blog called The Sweet Stop.

I am loving the pendants that are so popular right now and this sketch was so fun to work with. For my card I used cup of cocoa.

The patterned paper is super old it's a  6 x12 pad made for the cricut called doodlecharms .  I then used my embossing folder it looks like snowflakes I have know idea what it's call I do know it's from Stampin' Up but it is retired. I sponged twilight ink around the edges and sponged  Stampin' Up's  frost white all purpose ink all over the embossed card stock. It's so shimmery. I colored in the stamped image with my copics and added some bling to the snowflakes on the mug. I also used my clear spica pen on the candy cane. That's about it. Thanks  for visiting

Have a Wicked Halloween

For today's card I used another sketch challenge I just love them they help take the guess work out of card making . The sketch challenge I used this time is Mojo Monday's.

I used one of the stamps from Stampin' Up's Greeting Card Kids I colored it in with my copics then I paper pieced her dress and added  a bit of shadow with my copics. The spider web was cut out on  my cricut using the cartridge artiste by ctmh. I'm Back!

Wow I can't believe it's been over a year and a half since I last posted where did the time go? I know I said this last time but I really hope to keep up on my blog a little more than once a year lol. All but one of my kids are in school so that gives me more time to stamp and post. Well I recently purchased some kraftin kimmie stamps and started looking for inspiration when I came across the kraftin' kimmie's challenge blog  and thought I'd give it a try to get my mojo running . This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge.

For my card I used Witchy Poo and colored her in with my copics I used a prisma colored pencil to draw in fishnet stockings and loved the way it turned out. The black tulle ribbon from ctmh went great  with it too.i colered in the skull eyes and bow with my spica glitter pens but it's hard to see the sparkle in the photo. I'll be back later this week with another post.
Thanks for visiting.

Arrgh Matey!

I apologize for not posting or keeping you up to date. I just became overwhelmed and couldn't enjoy stamping. I would spend time in my scrap room and just stare and everything or organize it but I just couldn't make anything. On the rare occasion that I would make something I just couldn't bring myself to blog about it. My goal this year was to start blogging again. I've done it! I don't know how long this will last but this is a start for me.

February is a big birthday month in our family actually Feb to July is but most birthdays fall during Feb to March. I made 5 cards in one week and that's a big thing yay!

Love is in the air

This weekend Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is celebrating their customers by having their first Customer Appreciation Blog Hop (a list of blog hop requirements is at the link). The theme is Love is in the Air. Every participant who posts a project on their blog will receive a FREE digital stamp and it is so cute. In haven't posted in almost 2 years and this was just the motivation I needed to get back to posting again.

For my card I used sweet 'n sassy stamp so sweet cocoa he is just the cutest little guy. I colored him in with my copics. I paper pieced the cupcake wrapping. I then cut the image out with my square nesties. The cute saying came with the stamp set too. I don't even know what to say it kind of hard just jumping in again it's been so long, I hope I can keep it up. I do have more to post maybe during the week I can sneak in another post.
Thanks for stopping by.( I should get better at this after I remember how to do everything again.)

I had forgotten how much work a new baby is I knew I'd have less time for myself but I feel like I have absolutely no time at all. I'm lucky to even get dressed in the morning. Ever since I came home from the hospital with the baby one or more of my kids have been sick, then last Sunday the baby came down with a fever so we took him to the emergency room and had tests run well after staying two nights in the hospital all tests results came back negative and Ammon was released we still don't know why he had a fever.
I have been working on baby announcements but by the rate I'm going he'll be 1 yr before they even get sent out. I hope things settle down here so I can get some time to stamp I'm really missing it. Have a great day.

Friday the 13th treasure

I just wanted to let you know I had by baby boy on March 13th.I'm so excited he's here.
The Dr. had planed to induce me this day so I knew a few days before what I didn't expect was when I went to the hospital we found out he had flipped again in to the breech position. Luckily the Dr. was able to flip him again to the right position, then induce me. At 4:28pm we welcomed Ammon Rhys Smith our beautiful little boy weighing 6 lb 14 oz and 18.5 inches long. The baby and I are both home and feeling good although exhausted. Now I'm worried about my other kids they are sick with a fever and are staying with my mom I hope and pray they get better soon I miss them.

Update

It's been awhile and I thought I would update everyone on how I'm doing. Last Friday I found out my baby was breech so Monday morning I had to do to the hospital to see if they could turn the baby. Luckily they were successful I was at the hospital from 6:30 to 10:00 and it only took the doctors about 45 sec. to turn my baby they said it was the easiest one they've ever had. Now I worry if it was so easy to turn will the baby turn back I hope not but there is the chance it will happen. I do have another appointment Friday and well see what happens. Yay my due date is less that two weeks away. I'm so excited. Hope to keep you posted.

Busy Busy Busy

Last Thursday my daughter came down with a stomach bug or maybe it was something she ate because nobody else came down with it. Then came Valentine's day which is really no problem I mainly just celebrate it by giving my kids something I don't celebrate it with my husband because our anniversary is two days later which is today. Love you honey Happy Anniversary(just in case he reads this but he probably doesn't even know my blog name). Wow we've been been married for 8 yrs. I can honestly say I love him more each and every day.
I don't know how much I'll be able to post this week I'm going out to dinner with my hubby tonight. Wednesday is my daughters birthday so I need to get my house in order for her birthday party. Then I start my weekly visits to the doctor on Friday. My son is also off track until March so instead of two crazy monkeys running around I have three and my son just happens to be the craziest of all. Well now that you know my schedule for the week just know it's crazy here lol.

This is the last of Kimmie's challenges and this one we needed to use a boy or girl stamp with flowers. A friend of mine and his wife just had a baby girl so I thought I would make this card to send to them. Since I'm writing about babies did you know I only have 5 more weeks left of my pregnancy, and is it so bad of me to want my baby to come just 1 week early. I know I won't get much stamping time after the baby is born but I am sooo ready for this pregnancy to be over with. Ok so enough of my complaining .Thanks for visiting and have a great day.

What I used
stamps-(ctmh)

Hey Cupcake

It's another one of Kimmie's challenges I have made cards for all of her challenges so you get to see them for the next few days. This one is challenge #1 to use purple and make it a birthday card. I don't really like this card much I think I should have put another white circle behind the purple scallop so it would stand out more but I had already glued it down and I didn't want to risk tearing the cupcake image. I used liquid applique but it was very old and came out tan instead of white luckily it still puffed up still, and didn't look to bad. I then used glossy accents on the cherry.Oh and one last thing I used shimmerz on my flowers it showed up pretty well in my photo I was surprised. Well thanks for visiting and have a great day.

What I used
stamps-sweet n hearts(doodle factory starving artist stamps), hey there cupcake(stampendous)

Hogs and Kisses

I had planed on posting this last night but instead I went to bed early. This card was made for another one of Kimmie's challenges this one is challenge # 4 to use an animal stamp and ribbon or rick rack. I just love these little doodle factory piggies from starving artists they are so cute I colored them in with my copics and put a little shimmerz on their snouts and the hearts. For the sentiment I didn't have any thing that worked so I wrote my own with my signo white gel pen. hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting.

With a constant flow of new things coming out, we tend to forget about the other things we have and they quickly become clutter! This weeks, Belli Challenge is to make something for Valentine's or use hearts.
